AS400 – Windows logon credentials are unavailable

If you are getting the error “Windows logon credentials are unavailable” the settings for your AS400 need to be configured correctly.

Click on Configure.

Click on Properties.

If anything other than Use default user ID or Prompt every time are selected you will get an error.

Change to Use default User ID, prompt as needed if you’d like to not have to type your user name. If this is a shared PC then select prompt every time.

Click OK.
