When I log into MT Direct, either for the customer, or I have switched my account to the customer’s account, the Customer Name shows as unknown (as below):
This happens when MT Direct does not know, has not learned, the customer name. This customer has never before been set up for MT Direct, and therefore MT Direct needs to learn the account code and look up the name.
There is a script that runs once a day to update the customer name for accounts.
Do not be alarmed if you see unknown. As long as the account number is valid on the AS/400, this will not affect using any features of MT Direct.
